Description of Trip:

Spend the weekend in beautiful downtown Bar Harbor Maine and Acadia National Park in late autumn, the prettiest time of the year on Mt. Desert Island. The multi-colored leaves will still be falling and the days will be crisp and clear to hike & bike in Acadia National Park or kayak along the splendid coastline of Mt. Desert or on one of the calm inland island lakes.

Our accommodations for the weekend will be in luxurious rooms at the Bar Harbor Inn's Oceanfront Lodge located on the waterfront in the downtown area of Bar Harbor. The Oceanfront Lodge rooms are tastefully decorated in contemporary style and each have a private balcony overlooking the ocean.

Itinerary:

Check in is after 3PM Friday October 26th at The Bar Harbor Inn. A welcoming social will be held at 7pm followed by an optional dinner at one of Bar Harbor's fine restaurants, only a short walk from the Bar Harbor Inn. We'll meet each morning for a continental breakfast which includes fruits, cereals, pastries, juices and coffee each morning followed by a planned group activity in Acadia National Park. Join the group or venture off on your own to enjoy the solitude of Acadia during this quiet and pristine time of year.
